Plea bargains are often offered to criminal defendants in exchange for a reduced sentence or charges. Before accepting a plea bargain, it is important to consult with an experienced criminal defense lawyer who can advise you on the potential immigration consequences.

Alternative sentencing options may be available to non-citizens facing criminal charges. These options can help minimize the immigration consequences of a conviction. For example, a non-citizen may be able to participate in a rehabilitation program or community service in lieu of a prison sentence.
